It's time!

Hello, Guild!

For our next meeting on October 20th, we are having a show and share of all the art created by you inspired by Yayoi Kusama. I am so excited to see what you have made!

Please join me at the Buffalo Municipal Airport at 7PM that evening and please bring other art you have created as well, for our venues as November will be a switch-out month.

I would really love to have someone take this on as a liason for Out-Do Work, and someone for the bank. Basically, making contact with them, bringing art there. Out-Do Work hangs it themselves, we switch out the art at the bank. I have been asked about the order of how we move the art, and the board decided two meetings ago to start with Out-Do as they are the largest, then move to the vet clinic and then the bank. Allina is it’s own entity, the way they decide what art they want. So Yayoi will start at Out-Do, and end a year and a half later at the bank. Make sense?

Right now, we don’t have a secretary or a treasurer. I am the main contact with everything going on with the BACC, our new home, hopefully in the spring. I am the main contact with Chamber of Commerce, Have handled our tables at the festivals we have been participating in, and it is time for someone to take on some of this work for me. I simply don’t have the time to do all the things. I am sincerely asking for two people to step up and be our liasons for basically twice a year, and having a verbal and textual contact with our venues. Our venues deserve quality service when they pay us to hang our art, and I can’t do that, especially now, during orchard season. It’s a critical time of year for us to do things right for our venues, and I am focused elsewhere.

Naomi and I cleaned out the storage unit this week, I just have to give it a quick sweep out next week and we will no longer have to spend as much on storage. A huge thank you to Naomi for her assistance, and a giant thank you to Denny Michurski for allowing us to store our things at his home until we can get into the BACC. Adam Lieferman shared some photos with me of our new shared space, and it is really beautiful! I am not sure if I am allowed to share the pictures yet, so stay tuned! I can’t wait to get in there!

I have LOTS of art from our members that I will be bringing to the meeting. About 30 pieces, that have been in the storage unit as I don’t have room to store them at home. I will try to create a list of who they are and email later, as I am out of time for now. Please plan to come, not only to pick up your art, but to support your fellow artists as they reveal the hard work they have put into creating art for all of us to appreciate!

See you soon!
