April Notes
Hi Folks!
Our next meeting is on April 20th and we are getting “social!” Please join us at La Catrina, 1006 Commercial Drive #A in Buffalo. It’s just off Hwy 25, near-ish to the Chipotle, and near our painted buffalo we designed at Four Seasons Eyecare.

Patiently waiting…
Patience is a virtue, they say. It is not one of my strong points, some of my family would tell you. But in work, teaching settings or among friends, everyone says I am “so patient and understanding.” I dunno. I think it all depends on the situation.

The weather feels good this week and I am excited for the weekend where I hope some of you can come out and say “Hello” on Saturday. Kites on Ice is happening on Buffalo Lake, right by Sturges Park.

The beginning of a new year always brings excitement for a new start, a bright beginning of a new project, or creating intentions and resolutions. Our Guild is no different—we are excited for all the changes 2026 will bring for us.

It is sure starting to feel like Christmas out there now, with the beautiful snow globe effect out my window.

Our next meeting is on Monday, at the airport at 7PM. Gayle Kubista will be leading us in creating “Thank You” gifts for our venues where we showcase our work over the year.

It’s finally feeling good to be outside, going on adventures studying the clouds, the landscape as it greens up and watching the action on the water, whether it be water sports or the simplicity of a tadpole pond.

2025 is going to be an exciting year for our Guild. Not only do we now have a website (you are receiving this Guild Journal entry through the website!), but the Guild will have a permanent home this summer!

Boy, It sure is dark out now. Daylight Savings is always a tough hit, as I wake with the sun and go down with the sun usually, and now I find myself spinning in circles.

Gayle Kubista is leading our meeting and we are creating art ornaments for Festival of Trees. I have submitted a request to have a tree, waiting to hear if we get one.
