February Notes

Hello Guilders!

It’s a busy time of year for me, planning and scheduling art classes for the summer. The weather feels good this week and I am excited for the weekend where I hope some of you can come out and say “Hello” on Saturday. Kites on Ice is happening on Buffalo Lake, right by Sturges Park. The Guild will have a booth out on the lake. If you are driving by on 25, you won’t miss it as the colors are so bright against the snow and sky. I hope we have a little snow for the kids to paint on! Time is from 11-3.

Monday, President’s Day, is our monthly Guild meeting at the Buffalo Municipal Airport. Doors open at 6:30, meeting starts at 7:00PM. We will have Erin Walsh from the Buffalo Arts Council speaking to us and then a short, informational meeting. After that, I plan to bring charcoal, colored pencils and supplies to be creative together.

Keeping it short and sweet for this one! Hope to see you Saturday on the lake or Monday, for the meeting!

Finally, January always brings annual dues. We try to collect membership dues as much as possible in the first two months of the year. Dues are $35 for a single, $45 for a couple, and $60 for a family. As a paid member, you are able to showcase your artwork alongside other guild artists at any of our four venues. We have had a number of pieces sold this past year alone by being shown at these places. It’s a great way for your art to be seen! This will also include the new community center, too, so that will be 5 opportunities for the public to see your art.

Please get your dues in as soon as possible for us to start getting 2026 lined up with demos and presentations, and other art possibilities.

Thank you so much to the BAG board members and all the support they have given this past year. It brought us a website and new URL, beautiful business cards to hand out, many demos and presentations, and 2026 looks even brighter for us!

Warmest Regards,

Tamra
